7.6 Out of 10
Hyundai has done a fine job once again with the Sport's styling and overall value (the brand's strong suits), but continues to struggle with suspension and steering.
by MotorTrend
Hyundai also points out that the Santa Fe can tow 5,000 pounds, which equals or betters all of its main unibody rivals.

Reviews Word on the street for the Hyundai Santa Fe

Remote keyless entry is standard, as are rear-seat heat and A/C vents, Bluetooth hands-free calling and audio streaming, steering-wheel audio controls, and the Blue Link telematics system.

The belt buckles in the third row are on more floppy nylon bases, but as you'd generally put bigger kids in the "way back," that shouldn't be a problem.

It's still a little early to predict the 2014 Santa Fe's resale outlook, but Hyundai SUVs consistently rank well versus their competition.

What People Are Saying Give it to me straight

Fuel economy looks good here, as well, with the turbo motor rated at 21/31 mpg with front-wheel drive and 20/27 mpg with all-wheel drive.
by AutoBlog (Aug, 2012)
GLS AWD models add a windshield wiper de-icer, as well as an Active Cornering Control feature.
by The Car Connection (Jul, 2013)
If exterior and interior styling and the numerous amenities you get for the money are the Sport's strong suits, its weaknesses are steering and suspension feel.
by MotorTrend

In addition (at least in the vehicle we tested), it felt as if the transmission programming were not quite in tune with the engine's power.
by MotorTrend
Assuming you've got a full load of passengers and their assorted... stuff, you'll appreciate the standard 3.3-liter V6 engine and six-speed automatic transmission.
by AutoBlog (Mar, 2013)
Mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, Hyundai's V-6 never wanted for power.
by MotorTrend

This unit is impressive, offering up 290 horsepower and 252 pound-feet of torque.
by AutoBlog (Mar, 2013)
All that said, the 2014 Santa Fe is comfortable towing up to 5,000 pounds of trailer, boat, or anything else you'd like to haul.3.3-liter V6290 horsepower @ 6,400 rpm252 lb-ft of torque @ 5,200 rpmEPA city/highway fuel economy: 18/25 mpg (front-wheel drive), 18/24 mpg (all-wheel drive).
by KBB (Apr, 2013)
On the safety front, Hyundai did a nice job of loading up the Santa Fe with seven airbags and active brake assist, which steps in if the vehicle detects aggressive braking.
by MotorTrend

The big Santa Fe is six-cylinder only; the Sport rolls with four-cylinders, turbocharged or not.
by The Car Connection (Jul, 2013)
Long-wheelbase Santa Fes will get the only V-6 in the lineup, a 3.3-liter engine from the Azera sedan, with 290 horsepower, a six-speed automatic, front- or all-wheel drive, and a base curb weight of about 3900 pounds.
by The Car Connection (Jul, 2013)
Park City, Utah sits about 7,000 feet above sea level, and as executive editor Chris Paukert pointed out in his recent review of the 2013 Volvo S60 T5, naturally aspirated engines can lose up to 20 percent of their power output at these high altitudes.
by AutoBlog (Aug, 2012)

The Santa Fe is a compelling family bus, even as what it offers is pretty standard fare.
by Car and Driver (Mar, 2013)
Standard equipment is plentiful on the three-row Santa Fe, even if you get the base GLS.
by The Car Connection (Jul, 2013)
Despite the six-speed automatic transmission's tendency to hunt for gears, mostly due to the steep grades of our test route, the 2.0T never felt underpowered or overworked.
