The well-built, Lexus-like interior is stylish, and the capacitive-touch dashboard controls are nicely executed and respond quickly.
by Car and Driver (Aug, 2013)
The 2013 Toyota Avalon again has a price that launches well into luxury territory, but you get your money's worth with an impressive, luxury-caliber feature set.

Reviews Word on the street for the Toyota Avalon Hybrid

The 2013 Toyota Avalon has a spacious interior, supportive seats, superb detailing, and futuristic capacitive controls; you may easily mistake this for a Lexus.

Still far from being "fun," the new Avalon is at least far less sloppy than the old one, though its gentle ride quality will surely be missed by some.

The 2013 Toyota Avalon looks to change all that with a striking new design, responsive driving dynamics, and advanced, yet easy-to-use in-vehicle technology.

What People Are Saying Give it to me straight

The 2013 Toyota Avalon offers perhaps the finest cabin in its class, with first-rate materials, user-friendly controls and impressive fit and finish.
by KBB (Feb, 2013)
This latest iteration preserves the high levels of luxury and comfort that made the Avalons of yesteryear such a success, but adds a dose of athleticism and panache to the mix.
by KBB (Feb, 2013)
Even with the trim job, the Avalon has an interior that’s roomier overall than that of the big Lexus LS.
by Car and Driver (May, 2013)

The six-speed automatic’s torque-managed shifts are seamless.
by Car and Driver (May, 2013)
This contemporary look is finished off with a set of 17-inch or optional 18-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights and dual chrome-tipped exhaust outlets.
by KBB (Feb, 2013)
For drivers who want to stretch each gallon of gas, Toyota is offering the Camry hybrid’s powertrain in the Avalon.
by Car and Driver (Oct, 2012)

If your tastes are more sporting in nature, the Nissan Maxima or the 365-horsepower Ford Taurus SHO might be a better fit.
by KBB (Feb, 2013)
The smooth and responsive port-injected 268-hp, 3.5-liter V-6 should be familiar to longtime Avalon fans, and it has more than sufficient squirt for the chassis.
by Car and Driver (May, 2013)
6 models of the Avalon are still anticipated to be the more popular; they come with Toyota's familiar 3.5-liter V-6, putting out 268 horsepower and 248 pound-feet of torque.
by The Car Connection (Jun, 2013)

It handles similarly to the V-6 Avalon, with minimal body roll.
by cars.com (Dec, 2012)
About that steering, Avalon’s electrically boosted variable-ratio unit is quicker overall than that in last year’s car, and a bigger rear anti-roll bar reduces understeer and body roll.
by Car and Driver (May, 2013)
Otherwise, the Avalon's ride quality is rather non-eventful; there's no longer a lot of body motion, or a super-pillowy, almost queasy ride.
by The Car Connection (Jun, 2013)

The design theme of the Avalon is 'Elegant Athletic,' and overall this design is a brisk lane-change—to the degree that it almost warrants a new model name.
by The Car Connection (Jun, 2013)
The new Avalon looks interesting, and feels more lively, and steers into a more compelling direction with a visually dramatic interior and a full dose of high-tech safety equipment.
by The Car Connection (Jun, 2013)
It's huge; the grille stands out in photos and in person.
